1. What NottaTalk does
NottaTalk provides live two-way voice translation for face-to-face conversations. When you speak, your audio is sent over the internet so it can be transcribed and translated, and the translated speech and captions can be played or shown on your device.
2. Information we process
Audio and conversation content
- Microphone audio from an active conversation is streamed to third-party AI speech and translation processors so we can provide transcription, translation, and spoken playback.
- NottaTalk does not offer offline or on-device translation. A network connection is required while you translate.
- We design the Service so conversation audio is used to deliver the translation you requested, not to build advertising profiles.
Transcripts and captions on your device
- During a conversation, captions and transcripts are shown on your device so you can follow along.
- In the current product, those transcripts live in the app’s memory for the active session. Guests cannot save or sync history. If you use Share Transcript, the text is handed to your device’s system share sheet so you can send it with an app you choose.
- We do not operate a cloud transcript archive for guest sessions. If signed-in history or cloud sync is enabled later, we will update this policy before that feature goes live.
Device and usage signals
- To apply fair-use limits, our servers keep short-lived usage counters tied to a hashed device or network identifier (for example, conversations started and related usage for a UTC day). Those counters are pruned after a few days.
- We may receive standard technical logs such as approximate region, app version, and error codes needed to keep the Service reliable. We configure logging so raw conversation text and secrets are not written into ordinary logs.
Account information (when you sign in)
- If you create or link an account, we process the identifiers needed to authenticate you (such as email address or a token from a sign-in provider you choose).
- We do not collect or store your account password for the product. Where a password is used, it is handled through the authentication method you select; NottaTalk does not keep a copy of that password for its own storage.
- Display name and plan status may be stored so we can show your profile and entitlements.
Website
This marketing and legal site is static. We do not run advertising trackers on these pages. Our hosting and DNS providers may process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) to deliver and secure the site.
3. Guest sessions
You can try NottaTalk as a guest with a limited number of conversations. Guest mode does not require an account. Guest limits exist so we can offer a fair trial and manage capacity. Signing in unlocks features such as saving or syncing when those features are available.
4. How we use information

5. Processors and sharing
We use third-party processors to run speech recognition, translation, and spoken playback, and to host our API and this website. Those processors receive the audio or text needed to perform the job you requested, under contracts that limit how they may use it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share conversation content with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction involving Automized Virtual Agent Services, LLC, with appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
- Session captions on device: kept for the active session unless you share or clear them.
- Server usage counters: kept for a short rolling window (on the order of a few days) then deleted.
- Support and privacy email: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal duties.
- Account records (when accounts are enabled): kept while your account is active; see deletion below.
7. Deletion
You can leave a conversation or clear on-device session content in the app. To request deletion of account-related information we hold, follow the steps on our Delete account page or email [email protected]. We will confirm the request and complete deletion within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention needs. Backup copies, if any, are removed on a delayed schedule not to exceed 30 days after primary deletion where feasible.
8. Children
NottaTalk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete related information. If a higher age is required in your region, you must meet that age (or have a parent or guardian’s consent where the law allows) before using NottaTalk.
9. Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption for audio and API traffic and limit access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a current OS and keep the app updated.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also stop microphone access in your device settings (translation will not work without it).
11. International users
We are based in the United States. If you use NottaTalk from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our processors operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. We will post the new “Last updated” date here and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or on this site when appropriate.
